Indian shelling wounds 8 in Azad Kashmir | Kashmirica

Indian troops’ shelling across the Line of Control in Azad Jammu and Kashmir wounded at least eight people on Thursday, officials said.

The shelling, which was continued for hours injured eight people including 4 children in Kotli district's Khuiratta sector.

Locals told Kashmirica, that shelling targeted Chatter, Kenthi, Jogal Pal, Khanpur and several other villages alongside the LoC, the line that divides India-held Kashmir from Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

Residents of the area agitated against the silence of Pakistani, Indian and International media and peace forums.

The heavily militarised LoC is once again witnessing sporadic skirmishes and artillery duels, as situation in India-held Kashmir is worsening.
